Why You Should Visit Eugene, Oregon When you think of Oregon you might think of the Oregon coast, the weird things of Portland and maybe the beautiful Columbia River Gorge, but one place for sure that is a big part of what makes Oregon so amazing is the Lane County! Lane County is basically in the middle of it all, the cascades and coast! It’s a place where you will find yourself on endless adventures, chasing beautiful waterfalls, soaking in wild hot springs, looking out on 40 miles of wind sculpted sand dunes that run along the coast, whitewater rafting on the McKenzie River, driving through wine country, cycling, hunting for Oregon truffles (yes, it’s a thing!) and so much more!
