Experience Tualatin Valley Tualatin Valley is separated from Portland by the Tualatin Hills, and when settlers first arrived in the area it was a challenge to get into Portland. When the first road was built connecting the two it helped boost Portland’s economy significantly, and beat out it’s rival Oregon City for local primacy.
